Product licensing is a new module that extends the previous simple client product management to allow for more advanced and flexible management of product types, product license types and product licenses.

The Vendors module allows for the simple management of suppliers of products that are managed within appSolute Management. Examples of vendors could be appSolutions, Microsoft, Progress, Dell, Hewlett Packard, etc. |

Product License Types |

The Product License Types module can be used to manage different types of product licenses. Examples of these are MS OEM, PSDN, SaaS and Progress Runtime. |

Product Licenses |
|
|
| |
Product licenses are issued licenses for products which can be assigned for use with a client.
When a license is issued by a vendor (which can be an internal vendor) it is available for assignment to a client. Client product usage is mapped against the product license to keep track of information such as actual users compared to licensed users.
